Glenside Lions Club represented by VP Bob Oaten and Lion Paul Turner, approached many organisations and found strong interest in the need of having a defibrillator on their premises in case of heart attacks.

An amount of $26,000 was raised by Glenside Lions Bookmart to acquire nine defibrillator units to donate to various community groups and sporting clubs at a presentation at the Burnside Community Centre, with another unit to be installed at the Lions Bookmart. This function was attended by the Mayor of Burnside David Parkin, recipients of theĀ  defibrillators and Glenside Lions.

Glenside Lions are proud that these life saving devices are being spread out into the wider community.
