One more member at Glenside Lions Club gives us two more hands to do service in our community, at home and internationally.

Membership at Glenside Lions Club in South Australia is open to the local community. If you feel that you would like to be part of your community activity in a very positive and satisfying way, then membership of the Lions Club of Glenside may be for you.

Not only will you be working for the benefit of local charities and organisations that provide services and resources for people in need, but you will be supporting the wider activities of the prestigious Lions Clubs International organisation. You will also enjoy a wonderful social rapport with your fellow members, working together to achieve common goals and objectives.

The Club holds two dinner meetings per month on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month, except for the fourth Wednesday of  December and the second Wednesday of January.

Fundraising Activities

The Glenside Lions Club has three major fundraising sources-

• The Glenside Lions Bookmart – At 4 Kennaway St., Tusmore. Staffed by a wonderful group of volunteers and Club members and partners on a roster basis the Bookmart sells all kinds of books and is open four days per week trading all year round. Donations of books are always welcome.
• The Glenside Lions Art Show – is an annual event held in October and it has become quite famous for the quality of the works offered each year and has developed a loyal following of patrons and sponsors. It trades over eight days including the weekend and again is staffed by members and partners of the Club.
• Lions Cakes and Puddings – Lions Cakes and Puddings are available all year round from our Bookmart.

Additionally, the Glenside Lions Club supports the activities of Lions District 201C1 and Lions Clubs International and sells Lions Mints and the famous LIONS CHRISTMAS CAKES and PUDDINGS, which are always in demand during the festive season. These products can be purchased direct from the Glenside Lions Club Bookmart all year round.

Our members’ partners contribute a lot to both our fundraising and social activities. There are also our much appreciated volunteers who assist with the Bookmart and the Art Show.
